The style of glass art I create is called Lampworking. Lampworking has a very colorful and wonderful history. Modern lampworking is created on a torch using rods of glass that the artist melts down into the final piece of art. This is how I create my designs. I once had one of my clients describe my creations as artfully whimsical. I like that and think it describes the majority of my glass creations. Each small creature comes to life in front of my torch with thier own personalities and history. Most of my creations are miniature animals, people, or imaginary beings.
I was born and raised in the Ozark Mountain area and I have a true love of nature. I belive my love for animals and creatures shows in my art. I am also a mother and wife and some of the humor I place in my pieces are often inspired by my family.
