Ceilon Aspensen has been an artist her entire life, has a BFA in Drawing from Mississippi State University, and paints in her studio every day.
In addition to working as a full-time visual artist, she taught art full-time in grades 9-12 in Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland for five years from 2006-2011, and taught art as a volunteer and served as an art mentor in the Bozeman area for many years prior to earning her PreK-12 Art teacher certification. Ceilon was awarded the College of Letters and Sciences Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award for her outstanding teaching. She is also an adjunct instructor at Montana State University teaching NASX-551, American Indian Art Survey, and is working on her PhD in American Studies, focusing on Contemporary American Indian Art. Ceilon lives and works in Bozeman, Montana, which is situated in the beautiful Gallatin Valley. She enjoys spectacular views of five mountain ranges from her backyard in the company of her truly awesome husband, two devoted dogs, and a very bossy cat.
