Cheryl Ann Quigley was born and raised in Connecticut along the beautiful Long Island Sound. She studied photography at The University of New Haven and quickly developed an interest in nature and wildlife photography. Along life's journey, she moved to California and found herself living very close to the historic Santa Anita Racetrack. There, she became fascinated with the power, grace, and athleticism of the Thoroughbred horse. Her body of work now features award-winning images of the horse racing world as well as intimate wildlife portraits. Cheryl uses her art to benefit several Thoroughbred horse rescue organizations, which work to ensure good care for Thoroughbreds once their racing careers have ended. Cheryl is a professional member of the Equine Photographers Network. Her images have appeared on book and magazine covers and numerous websites.
