INVICTA is one of the world's only Longhair shooters.
INVICTA started out as a bellydance stage name for Christina Schellhous. Then it evolved into my artist/photography name. You may call me INVICTA. ;)
The name comes from the poem INVICTUS, which is the Latin word for Unconquered. It has been very inspiring for me and continues to be one of my favorite personal mottos:
BY WILLIAM ERNEST HENLEY
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
I've been a photographer for about 6 years and have recently begun focusing on photographing the world's hottest and most noteworthy Long Haired Men. I've chosen this niche because all my life I've loved men with long hair and the wonderful humans they can be. I just want to promote long hair on men as being more acceptable and beautiful in a society which is overwhelmingly biased toward short hair on men. I love you Longhairs of the world! Keep it long, keep it strong!
Thank you and please enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it!
