..........A self taught artist, Christine's drawing talent surfaced while in high school . During her senior year she was voted most artistic winning numerous awards for her artwork. ( First Place Award in the N.C. Federation of Women's Clubs, Inc. for 'Outstanding Achievement in Visual Arts'. - Awarded a Certificate of Honorable Mention at the 4th Annual 'Art Affair' at Pembroke State University - Superintendent's Choice Award from the N.C. State Art Exhibit. )
..........In 1988 her portriat of 'John Entwistle' the late bass player for 'The Who' graced his home in England. The portrait was received by him with much thanks and encouragement for her to continue with her art. Recent celebrity endeavors include her portrait of county singer 'Bucky Covington'. The original portrait was presented to Bucky May 6, 2006 at a special awards ceremony honoring his 'American Idol' achievements.
..........For over 25 years she has pursued and perfected her craft. Christine's work has received much acclaim, garnering her First Place at the Pineville, N.C. prestigious Fall Festival Art Show. Her work has been displayed at the Carolina Art Company Gallery in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Marshville, N.C. Art Festival, the Seaboard Festival in Hamlet, N.C. and the Richmond County Arts Council Gallery in Rockingham, N.C.

'Also the texture of the paper and the different grades of graphite pencil allow me to visually create the appearance of something smooth or rough which adds to the realism of the art.'
..........Christine's technique takes the simples pencil to new heights, capturing moods and emotions that focus on the drama of light, shadow and texture. Without the added influence of color, her unique style of using the texture of the paper adds incredible three dimension to her compositions.
