Christopher Chouinard - Fine Artist
Christopher 'Fotog' Chouinard is an artist / photographer born and raised in Detroit MI, now living in California. Working under the pseudonym Fotog Ink , he has been published in magazines including Rolling Stone, Guitar World , Juxtapoz, N.M.E. , G.Q. and various newspapers including TheDetroit News ,Real Detroit and Virginia Pilot as staff photographer. Christopher has contributed artwork for numerous music albums and singles, including The Detroit Cobras 'Tied Up', The Paybacks 'Harder and Harder' among them. Two books featuring his photography were released by Artnik Books on 'The Strokes' and 'My Chemical Romance' for release in the U.K. ( email artist to purchase limited edition books ) and he continues photography while focusing on graphic art and painting .
An alumni of The Center For Creative Studies in Detroit, Christopher speciallizes in artwork and photograpy that reflects his classic Detroit roots, while bringing a modern pop sensibility to his art. In 2007 marked a returned to painting , focusing on pop art and portraits. Most recently, during the past two years he has begun tattooing , and is welcome to emails regarding freelance commission work in any medium.
Christopher's work has been shown at C-Pop Art Gallery in Detroit, as well as Wall's Gallery in Norfolk, Renewal Norfolk 2009, Redstar Escapist Art 2009 and JCGallery ,Oceanside CA as well as various local Starbucks . Currently residing in San Diego ,California he is open to galleries for showings of his exisiting and future work.
