Clair Hartmann - Fine Artist

Wilmington, NC artist Clair Hartmann grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
She was inspired and encouraged at an early age by her uncle Jimmy Lueders; an accomplished painter who taught at the Pennsylvania Fine Arts Academy.
Clair’s works and articles about her, have appeared in numerous publications. She is represented in a number of galleries, and in the private collections of individuals and institutions; both nationally, and internationally. Her landscape titled 'Sunrise Over Marsh' was recently acquired for the collection of Baptist Medical in Jacksonville, Florida.
In June 2007, she started painting on a daily basis as part of the 'Painting-A-Day' movement. To showcase her works, she started an on-line blog in December of 2008, where she posts her small format paintings, as well as video clips showing some of her works as they progress.
She has just finished working on 'The Downtown Dog Project', with her goal of painting '100 dogs in 100 Days'. Her subjects are all dogs who have frequented the Wilmington Farmer's Market and is now working on the book due out in 2010.
