Born in France in 1938, came to the United States in 1960. Never had formal Art Education, but all my life drawing and painting was always one of my favored passe time.
My work was with Deligny Art Gallery in Fort Lauderdale for many years, the owner Mr. Artel gave my first chance to become a 'professional painter' this was in 1974. I will always be grateful to Mr. Artel for believing in me. Through his Gallery my paintings travel to other Countries. I showed my work at Pro-Art Kasper Gallery in Morges Switzerland where I participated in the Henry Rousseau Group of Naive Painters for many years. I did outdoor shows in Miami: The Coconut Grove Art Festival, the Pinecrest Art Show, and the Merrick Art Festival in Coral Gables. Much fun and very hard work.
John Richard Craft then Director of the Columbia Museum of Art, told Mr. Artel :
The artist has a uniform facility toward literal ' story telling in her visual expression.'
This was in 1976. This is really what I do, tell story on canvas!
If you like 'Art Naif' or Naif Art, I hope you will enjoy these stories. Now, I leave in Florida, surrounded by nature, with many dogs and cats, and the birds in the trees. I love this Country! I love Florida! It is beautiful. And I love dogs and cats birds, and all creatures, nature is so wonderful.
