Conni Togel, creative mind behind the wildly popular 'Sheep Incognito' series of paintings, was born in Winfield, Illinois on July 24, 1965.
Beginning her artistic path at the age of 4, she's evolved into one of America's most beloved and prolific living artists.
After graduating from the Kolping College of Design & Multimedia Communications in Stuttgart, Germany in 1993, she incorporated her innovative approach in design into her company, SonGraphics creating, designing, and implementing strategic marketing plans; logo designs and corporate identity packages for various entities.
In 1995 he shifted from the corporate world to the more intimate art world of hobby painter, creating a magical world of flowerfairies, wizards, and toadstools, along with her signature vibrant landscapes reminiscent of Tuscany and Provence. Her watercolor paintings of that period are in collections around the world, and were the launching pad for her career as a professional artist.
Switching from watercolors to oil paints in 1997 also changed the direction of Conni's artwork - more landscapes, in more vibrant colors, with more dramatic effects became her signature style. Her oil paintings hang in hospital wards, private residences, restaurants, conference rooms, and private and corporate collections around the world.
Her Sheep Incognito series began with the arrival of some stray sheep on one of her vibrant landscapes. What began as a mere 'blip in the system' has quickly taken the art world by storm. Her slightly off-kilter sheep creations have become popular conversation pieces and have become the objects of obsession for many a fine art collector with a slightly warped sense of humor.
Sometimes political, sometimes romantic, mostly very funny, her Sheep Incognito flock has the sheep bouncing through life in cunning allegories and wry observations of the human condition.
To make certain you have a chance to see her award-winning exhibit Sheep Incognito series of paintings, prestigious art shows from all over the world have invited Conni to be part of their exhibits.
