I was born in Tridell, UT. I always had a passion for art. At 14, I began doing sports portraits for friends and family, and at 15, I was featured on the local news during the sports highlights in an interview done by Craig Bolerjack, who now is the play-by-play broadcaster for the Utah Jazz. From there I met former Utah Jazz coach and current KFAN radio commentator Tom Nissalke. In 1999, Tom started the Sports Night benefit for the YMCA of Greater Salt Lake, where Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan was the honoree. I was asked to do a portrait and present it to Coach Sloan at the event. From there, the event grew larger and larger, and each year I was asked to present a portrait to the honoree. I have had the privilege to do artwork for many of Utah's greatest players, coaches, teams, and Olympians.
