The purpose of my work is to desensitize viewers to the need for perfection in our surroundings. I don't care about spots on my apples,
leave me the birds and the bees please :-)
These works are not perfectly rigidly aligned; nor are they intended to be. Like people; each work is unique and individually interesting. Embrace their organic shapes and sometimes lack of balance long banished by machines of the industrial revolution. I take sleek symmetrical lifeless manufactured items that have served their initial purpose and put the artist’s hand and quirkiness back into the item.
It takes far less natural resources to reuse before recycling. I hope my work brings out the artistic appeal in common items & reminds us all to seek a reuse before recycling. When viewing my work, please take a moment to see the potential beauty in everything around us and not only accept but embrace the uniqueness in all of us.
