I hold an M.F.A. Degree in Glass Sculpture and Painting from Rochester Institute of Technology, School of American Crafts. I have been a professional artist for over 20 years, and an arts educator for 17. I have adjudicated Massachusetts All-State Competitions, and served as a representative on the Northern Berkshire Regional Art Council. I am currently teaching music in Sahuarita, Arizona, and continuing to pursue my profession as an artist
My work strives to capture the essence of nature’s peace. I believe this peace is reflected in the beauty and order of the natural environment, and can offer us a way to heal from the stress and pain of earthly realities. The quiet moments reflected in water, or splashed across a sunset sky, can help us remember who we are and why we are here. They can provide a sense of connection and serenity in an otherwise chaotic world, and restore us in ways we can not comprehend.
I work independently and with interior designers and private clients to produce customized, dramatic statements of natural beauty, appropriate for large or small scale installation. I produce my images in a variety of media, but my specialty is a unique combination of acrylics and glass mosaics.
