Daniel Bergren is originally from Orange County, California. He is a self-taught artist who has found work doing portrait and mural commissions, as well as his own original creations. Daniel had been drawing pictures of the things that he saw around him, and some of his favorite cartoon and movie characters, from an early age. In 1994, at the age of 20, he started to paint images from his own imagination - some of which were very surrealistic and abstract. But in late 1997, inspired by the work of other artists, he began to paint seascapes and sea animals and found that he enjoyed this subject matter most of all.
In recent years, Daniel has begun to return to his earlier artistic roots in portraiture and surrealism, but still enjoys to create images of the natural world around him, especially the sea.
