I am a day dreamer and find myself often thinking about moments in time that hold real beauty. Those moments are all around us and most people don't even see them; the sun shining through the trees, a man standing at the street corner waiting to cross, even a cold wet winter day in the afternoon. Some of these trivial things in life can be powerful if people let them be.

When I paint I challenge those viewing my work to feel those same things. Taking inspiration from average daily life combined with images from the past I use these elements to form compelling compositions. Using a unique style of my own I unify form, color and subject matter to stimulate feelings of nostalgia in the viewer.

I am still learning as I am sure I always will be. Void of any formal training I use books, continuing practice, my own determined will and whatever other resource I can find to guide me. I work primarily in oils and acrylics on a variety of surfaces. I am continually adapting my art and drive to meet my current goals and ambitions. I welcome and invite everyone to see the process as it unfolds

I am currently seeking other artists in the area for friendship and support. I am also looking for people interested in plein air painting and who would like to plan outings during the summer.
