Daniel Rossi was born in Terni (Umbria, Italy) on July 6, 1972.
After receiving his diploma in electronics from the State Technical Institute in 1990, Daniel was admitted to the International School of Comics in Rome, graduating with high honors in 1996.
In the following years, Daniel worked for several publishing houses designing book covers and illustrating children’s books.
In 1997, Daniel worked for the leading Italian producer of stop motion animation for television and cinema, Crayons Pictures. He developed storyboards, scenographies and cartoon characters for feature films, short films and children’s series for television. Daniel also taught “storyboard” courses in the province of Terni.
From 1998-1999 Daniel was involved in directing and editing a B&W, 35mm, feature film contracted by the Lodz Film School of Poland. The project featured famous Italian singers from the eighties, such as Ivan Cattaneo and Johnson Righeira.
Daniel also worked with Sony Entertainment in developing the animation component of several music videos.
In 2002 Daniel became Artistic Director and Graphic Designer, for the Lexy Division Press during which he was responsible for the publishing and printing of US comics. Clients include several international, comic publishers such as CrossGen, Dark Horse, Image, Checker Book Publishing Group and Avatar who work with authors such as Frank Miller, John Bolton, Eric Larsen, Clive Parker and Alan Moore. In addition to client relations, Daniel contributed to the design of covers, shorts and pinup stories for Lexy Division Press and Marvel Italia.
In 2003, Daniel was a Consultant/Expert for the examination board of the Florence International School of Comics.
In Orvieto, Italy, Daniel held a personal exhibit titled “Mask il Passato Presente” [“Mask the present past”], where he showed masks inspired from a trip to Mexico.
