Dáša's artworks include the Portrait, Nude Portrait, Figure, Landscape, Pet Portraits, Still Life, and Drawings. She is especially inspired by the emotive forces that are all around us, and in all things. 'I believe that strength in art comes from sound technical foundations seamlessly married with the power of raw, unchecked creativity. I am in pursuit of the effortless masterful expression of the elusive human essence.'
Oil is Dáša's primary medium, but exploratory writing and drawing are equally vital. “Drawing allows me to capture the energy and essence of a person… a fleeting moment.... an unusual light, and to express and explore the continuous stream of inspirations. Then painting this essence in oils results in the most tangible likeness to reality.'
Dáša earned her B.S. in Zoology and Masters of Public Health degrees from the University of South Florida (USF) which led to a 20 year career in Continuing Medical Education (CME). Dáša's desire for art recently re-awakened, and with great force, has quickly become an obsession. In pursuit of the best classical training, she has taken workshops with the world’s leading contemporary realism masters such as Nelson Shanks, Robert Liberace, and David Leffel, and she has attended leading realism academies including the Florence Academy of Art, the Lorenzo Medici School of Art in Italy and Incamminati in Philadelphia.(more)
