In 1980 I was given a tour of the kodak plant in Atlanta, Georgia, and at the end of the tour I received a camera. In 1992, I worked as a printer and operated two cameras including a darkroom camera. After learning the techniques I wanted to learn more about photography.

During the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia I carried a camera while working as a volunteer at Olympic Stadium and at Centennial Olympic Park until the bombing. I became a shutter bug after being part of the greatest event of my life.

Today I use a Nikon Digital SLR and I love it. I also have a website at Zazzle where I use my photographs to creat unique products. www.zazzle.com/Smythworks.
