David Syers is a Fine Artist, Graphic Designer and Information Technology professional. In Fine Art, he divides his time between photography, pen & ink illustrations, some silversmithing, sculpture, and leather-working. In Graphic Design, he specializes in end-to-end branding, corporate identity, and marketing solutions - from business cards to billboards, his design expertise includes advertising, logo design, websites, brochures, newsletters, and direct-mail marketing, collateral materials, and large-format promotional graphics. In the corporate world of information technology, David has specialized in strategic planning, project management, and documentation design.
With a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art, with a minor in Education, David has been called a 'Renaissance Man' for he reads upwards to 35+ books per year while dividing his time between graphic design, fine art, and technology pursuits. Over his career history, he has been a State Park Nursery Worker, Grocery Store Stocker, School Bus Driver, Prison Guard, County Investigator, Private Detective, Graphic Designer, Art Director, Novel Network Administrator, Network Engineering Director, Senior IT Project Leader, and Freelance Artist. Having worked on both Mac and PC, he is proficient in many layout, design, and photo manipulation programs and he continues to learn and experiment with technology. His fine art pursuits include pen & ink renderings (some color washes); gourd art; stone & wood carving; and photography.
David has made a life long habit of continually searching, learning, reading, and experiencing as much as he can in literature, art, and education... he strongly believes that 'it is the collective result of the continual renewal of life, vigor, and intellect, that serves to enable creativity to soar without end'.
