David Syers is a Fine Artist, Graphic Designer, and Photographer.
In Fine Art, he divides his time between photography, pen & ink illustrations (with and without color washes), and fine gourd pyrography.
His Gourd Art pieces are original, very unique, eye-catching, and all handcrafted by utilizing drawing, carving, painting, pyrography (woodburning), horse-hair braiding, and coiling skills. David creates custom fine art bowls, vessels, urns, and vases ranging from Contemporary to European to Asian to Southwestern in design and feel. His pen & ink and colored pencil illustrations are strikingly beautiful and are sought after for gifts and personal collections.
In Graphic Design, he specializes in end-to-end branding and corporate identity solutions - from logo design to billboards - his design expertise includes advertising, logos, business cards, brochures, newsletters, collateral materials, and large-format promotional graphics.
In the world of Photography, David has specialized in stunningly beautiful photographs of horses, nature, and scenic environments that evoke emotion and speak to the heart.
With a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and a minor in Education, David has worked on both Mac and PC, he is proficient in many layout, design, and photo manipulation programs. David strongly believes that 'it is the collective result of the continual renewal of one's physical and intellectual vigor, in order to experience and learn, that serves to enable one's personal creativity to soar without limit or end'.
David accepts commissions and is glad to discuss special gift intentions of his current inventory or new projects that you may have in mind. Though disabled now, David spends much of his time in fine art pursuits, while living on a small horse farm in Levy County, FL with his beloved Valerie, their five horses, three dogs, and two cats - he never fails to find that creative spark and sizzle in life!
