Deborah was born in the State of Maine but was raised as a child in Delaware. She moved back to Maine only to meet her Husband Paul who joined the US Navy, so off she went again. With their two Daughters Jen and Jamie, they traveled for 21 years all over the United States as well as Italy, England, Germany, and Egypt.
When asked what medium she paints in the response is usually “I paint just about anything and everything on just about anything and everything” Deb would say that Acrylics is near and dear to her heart as well as the use of an Airbrush.
While in High School she attended Kent County Vocational Technical School where she studied Commercial Arts. She also attended two Airbrush seminars, one in 1995 in New York and the other 2010 in Las Vegas. For the most part Deborah would be considered a Self Taught Artist.
Deborah’s work can be found in 6 local Tim Hortons from Skowhegan to Old Town, Maine as well as in D.Ellingood Art in Newport, Maine which is where her studio is located. When she is not busy in her studio painting she is teaching a class in watercolor, acrylics or airbrush.
Her painting “Flight of the Moon Fairies” won People’s Choice Award at the Bangor Flower Show in 2011
