Desire` Aguirre believes that painting pictures with words, charcoal, pastel, ink or whatever medium (including her mandolin and acting) helps her share her experience, strength and hope with others. Creativity helps her make sense of the world. She has always wanted to be a college student, writer, an artist and a Mom (not necessarily in that order). She writes for The Sandpoint Reader, Idaho Magazine and The River Journal. A non-traditional student, she received her bachelors degree in communications from Lewis-Clark State College when she was 50. She was the business manager and online editor of The Sentinel, and snuck in as many art, writing and theater classes as she could during her studies. She lives in Sagle with three cats, two horses and one mixed up lab.
