I have professionally been creating art since attaining a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art from the University of Houston. Since that time I have been involved in many types of design, painting, portraiture, murals, 3-D commercial design, as well as in an instructional capacity.
My objective in creating and producing art can vary depending upon the project at hand. I was trained in a variety of styles and techniques and I enjoy various subject matter - from representational to abstract. My aim is to flood the viewers' senses with vibrant color and interesting design - sharing with the viewers my thoughts and experiences. I have lived in the South Texas region most of my life and truly admire, and try to portray, in my own way, the aquatic life, native wildlife and various terrains of the region. On the other hand, I also enjoy working with surreal or expressionistic themes in my work - making religious, political, and social comments, or just creating themes with another worldly quality. I truly love my profession for so many reasons, but especially because of the freedom, the independence, and variety artists are able to enjoy in their creative endeavors.
