Dina D’Argo is inspired by her love of animals and the diversity of nature. Her world has always been about art, animals, and a spiritual connection to the earth. Preferring a highly “stylized” look rather than photo-realism, her work artistically combines representational and abstract styles to capture the movement and emotion of her natural subjects. After earning her degree in Fashion Design and running a successful design and manufacturing business, Dina yearned for greater creative freedom. She experimented with a variety of media, and currently paints in acrylic on canvas. She also crafts uniquely beautiful sculptural pieces of copper, wood, and other natural materials. Her work has been featured in galleries and private collections in Hawaii, Southern California, and Amsterdam, among other places. Raised in coastal San Diego County, Dina found true love in the foothills of the Sierra. She now lives in a remote area of Hawaii with the man of her dreams, their 5 dogs, her horse, some chickens, and whatever other animals seem to need a home.
