Just a creative soul who likes to add, subtract, or simply put things together, part of Dolly's focus here on FAA is digitally altering her photographs and scanner photos to create a vision that goes beyond the original image. She is also currently developing several digital painting series. Her offline, fun-focus is designing her own earrings, as well as working on other crafts and design work.
Dolly took the required art classes in school through seventh grade, then turned to music instead. She truly missed creating, and decided that 2011 was the year to become more artistic, whether it be virtual or traditional art, jewelrymaking, or... whatever struck up her inspiration!
'I never know what I'm going to get once I start applying effects to a photo, so I guess you could say that 99% of my altered photo work is experimental.' she says. 'If it doesn't look right, I backtrack a step or two and try something else. Rarely do I set out with a precise vision in mind, with regards to altering my photos. Digital painting, though, I know where I'm going with it and strive for the image in my imagination, just like a tangible acrylic or watercolor.'
