Born in Jonesboro, Louisiana Doug is a natural born artist. Doug has drawn and painted nearly all his life and is a self taught artist. Doug loves to paint wildlife in the natural habitat and the emotions he sees and feels at the time he comes across a perfect photo opportunity. His love for nature and all that belongs encourages him to put on canvas all he can to share with everyone. Doug's medium is acrylic, oil, charcoal and others. He favors acrylic as he can manipulate and blend colors to work for him in the piece he works on. The paintbrush and paint is a natural part of him as he works on a subject in realistic style. The subjects speak to him that need to be painted and he is continuously thinking of the next item he needs to capture. Doug loves to include the unexpected in his art so in many areas you can find the hidden bird. insect or some other wildlife hidden in the grass or shrubs.
