Edward Santos is a Bronx, NY native and a retired Veteran from the United States Army who served two tours in Afghanistan. He discovered his hidden talent of art through Art Therapy where he first attended a painting class being taught by a volunteer Vietnam Veteran who had been trained in the Bob Ross wet on wet style of painting at his local VA. At this present time, he has the ability and the time to dedicate his attention to his lifelong passion, his art. Art has become his outlet in dealing with almost every aspect of his life and has truly become his saving grace.
Edward first started out painting landscapes and as his passion for art grew, He experimented with different styles and techniques. He discovered that because he loves all forms of art that his art represents all styles. Edward has created art using oils, acrylics, spray paint, paint marker and mixed media. He has created art using techniques/styles SUCH AS abstract, pointillism and wet on wet. In September of 2013 Edward took part in his first art show that was sponsored by The Veterans Art Foundation, United Artist, Call to Home Art Show at the Art Space Gallery in Hartford, CT. Three of his paintings were displayed at this art show. Since then he has had his art displayed at several galleries; The Shattered Pallette, The Mystic Art Gallery, The Quick Center at Fairfield University, The Empty Space Project and The Stomping Ground. In conclusion Edward is also a Published Artist, two of his paintings can currently be viewed in The Pass In Review, an 84 page magazine which features artistic works created exclusively by veterans.
