Eileen Belanger has gained increasing recognition for her original, detailed paintings of New England scenes inspired by her love of nature and her surroundings. Her acrylic and oil paintings may include scenes from life in New England or visits throughout the world. Other times it is just the subject matter that has captured her interest and imagination.
Eileen's subject vary greatly but they all project scenes of relaxation coupled with minute details. She is fascinated by dramatic contrasts between light and shadow and hopes to achieve a welcoming depth to her compositions.
Eileen lives in a 1908 cider mill which houses her living space and studio. She is a member of the Manchester Artists' Association, Newburyport Artists' Association, Seacoast Artists' Association and the Keyes Group. Eileen has won many awards and her paintings are in homes and businesses throughout the United States and overseas.
