I consider myself a fine-line artist. I grew up in Chicago, and have lived in California's central valley since 1977. I have spent the last 20 plus years drawing lines. Many thousands of them!! My work is very precise and time consuming. With great attention to detail, many of my large originals took well over 100 hours to complete. I like to think that I have my own unique style, many people feel that I must be a very patient man. Oddly enough, I have never considered myself extremely patient, but I can honestly say that I am very passionate about my work. While working for the phone company in the mid 80's, I developed the 'Color my World' collection of 18 prints in black and white. Originally drawn on 8.5 x 11 paper, I had them enlarged to 11 x 14 and printed on good quality cardstock. They are sold in a set to color in with fine-tipped markers.
All of my 'originals' on display have been completed with no mechanical tools. I can go so far as to say that I rarely run one line past the next when connecting them all together. I take great pride in the precision of my work. My inspiration comes from life and it's complexities, visions from my past, and the music I love. I am also very fond of color, and use many of them in much of my work! I admire the work of Peter Max and MC Escher.
I live with my supportive and wonderful wife (of 31 years) Patty, we have 4 wonderful kids, and 3 beautiful grandsons. Life is good! Thanks for taking the time to check out my work, and please don't hesitate to contact me with any further questions.
