Growing up with military parents, and having spent 12 years in the US Air Force, this artist/veteran is well-traveled and has many global inspirations that have shaped her art.
After receiving an art scholarship in high school, she attended Texas Tech University to begin her 2-D Art degree, and soon after joined the US Air Force. She currently holds and Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology and a Masters of Science Degree in Psychology.
While in the Air Force she spent much of her time painting large squadron murals, designing military patches, and creating mission t-shirts. After serving in the Air Force, she was hired by the Department of Defense, at Peterson Air Force Base, to work as a Multimedia Technician. Erica thoroughly enjoyed working in this position and she received extensive training as a photographer, fine artist, and graphics artist. She now works as free-lance graphics artist and photographer which allow her to spend time with her two young children and her USAF retired husband.
Erica's primary themes are currently Commemorative, Patriotic, Animals, Forests, Flowers, People and Emotions, conveyed realistic, abstract, or in impressionistic styles, using heavy line and bold colors. Erica's style is influenced by her favorite artists Vincent Van Gough and Georges Rouault.
