I always liked drawing and painting, and studied fine arts at Pratt institute in NY, but never really considered a career in art, I was more intrigued with the military so became a professional soldier, and recently finished a 30 year military career with the USMC and USAF. I now live in Costa Rica and have started my second career...in art. I mainly work with water colors, but also enjoy pen and ink, air brush and pencil drawings. My subject matter varies widely, from realistic objects such as landscapes, buildings, people, and animals, to abstract using shapes and shadows to give a 3-D look to much or my art work. I also do religious 'message art' as I call it, I try to bring the viewer into the drawing or painting to look for a subtle message or meaning.
