The image above is a Self-Portrait of me in my younger years...when I still had hair. I am a 53 year old professional musician (pianist) who has came into the visual arts rather recently. I drew portraits in pencil and charcoal for many years on my own, occasionally exploring pastel painting. Now I work in and between several mediums, including watercolor and acrylic paintings, digital art and photography. Sometimes, these mediums merely inform one another as part of my process. Other times, mediums are combined. I often explore the new media of the iPad Painting and digital art and find the iPad to be very enriching in its possibilities. My main interest is beauty and following whatever process that leads me there, whether it's watercolor, acrylic or digital.
Note: About prints sizes: I generally offer prints up to 1 or 2 sizes larger than the original, for flexibility's sake. While the digitization process opens the possibility for much larger sizes, I try to keep the max somewhere near the original in order not to mislead a customer about the nature of the original work. Adding a couple of sizes I believe offers some flexibility for the customer while still maintaining a semblance to the original concept.
I am a member of the recently formed Coastal Watercolor Society (of Tybee Island, GA). For those interested in my music, please visit http://www.frankbright.com
