Photography has become an important part of my life a few years back, when my first photographs saw the light of day through a disposable camera. Time and technology made me discover the world of digital photography with a small Canon A75. But the true passion came out when I received my first professional camera, pushing me to study photography at a more serious level.
Through the photographs I take, I desire to capture emotions, feelings, joy, despair or sorrow, that something that determines people to stop, watch and appreciate something, that otherwise would be considered a daily triviality.
In December 2007 I had a first personal exhibit titled “ Lumea prin ochii mei” (The world through my eyes) at the Pogor Galleries in Iasi, Romania, and in 2011 one of my artworks has been part in two exhibitions, one is 'Photograph.adj' which took place at the French Cultural Center in Iasi, and the other at the opening of the new 'G. Enescu' Conservatory in Iasi, Romania.
I have photographs published in different books, presentations, from which one is on the cover of the novel “Truly, Everything” by J.R. Armstrong and one on the cover of the National Geographic Guide for Romania. Among other books: Adventures with George and Timmy, Teens in Greece, World and its People, Italia Centro-Sud, The Greeks, Life in Ancient Greece, and many others…
Many of my photographs you will find on various websites, brochures, postcards, greeting cards, banners, and all sort of other presentations.
I am also studying photography and video at “George Enescu” Art University in Iasi, Faculty of Plastic Arts, Decoration and Design.
This sums up a bit of my artistic carrier.
