Gail Wartell - Fine Artist
Gail comes from a rich and varied, eclectic background of media, including textiles, computer-enhanced graphics, watercolors and acrylics. After years creating fiber pieces, she switched to pencil, which allows for clarity of image.
'After several years working in pencil, I found my skills increase to a level I would never have imagined. I began painting again, in both watercolors and acrylics. In 2005, I took a class in pastel, and have been working in that medium, as well.'
Her passions include Feng Shui and energy work (currently, she is a Reiki Master and is training in Taiji), as well as reptiles, especially iguanas and turtles.
A very versatile artist, Gail is outside painting landscapes in watercolors when the weather is warm enough, the rest of the time she is in the studio working on acrylics or pastels of plants, vegetables or turtles. The turtles are sharing Gail's new studio space and claim to be very happy there.
