Hello, my name is Gaspar Avila. I was born in the island of Sao Jorge and I'm now living in the city of Ponta Delgada, Azores islands (Portugal). I've been a photographer for several years, always trying to capure the unique beauty of the Azores islands, their people and culture.
The Azores are nine beautiful islands in the middle of the Atlantic where people try to live side by side with nature. The ocean is always a great inspiration for me, and also our peaks and lakes, reminders of Azores volcanic origins. I consider the Azores to be one of the greatest places in the world to live and visit nowadays, so my main motivation is to show you the best of these islands, their beauty and the uniqueness of their people and culture.
