Indiana artist-currently working in southwest Florida, painted across the US. Primarily self taught, when I was over 40 I attended Indiana University, where I filled gaps in my artistic repertoire.
I was born and artist, and from the beginning I experimented with various mediums of creativity. As a very young child I drew figures with bits of charcoal from the trash pile, drew and colored my own paper dolls and clothes. As a teen, and young adult, I experimented with sculpture, and traditional fiber arts, as an adult I studied in Watercolor, pastel, and oil paint, pencil, ink, and sculpture. I studied painting under Audrey Unshenko, sculpture under Hector Garcia, and art basics of drawing, and design under John Hrehov, then studied art and architecture in Rome, Italy 1996.
I primarily use a colorist approach, which avoids black. I adhere to strict traditionalist methodology--my work leans toward the romantic, and is often a visualization of narrative reality.
I teach private classes, and workshops at senior centers, and to homeschool children across the USA.
My art hangs in private and corporate collections across the USA.
