The old people say that every thing carries a spirit inside of it..
My paintings are sacred stories, some are drawn from my own spiritual experiences in Native ceremonies while others are imagined from traditional stories and teachings.
One of my gifts is to convey these subtle energies through story and art. In each painting I try to capture the moment where Spirits leans in and whispers gently and touches our lives. I try to convey those moments in my art so that each viewer walks away carrying these stories, this sacred language, inside of them. In time, the power of these stories will take root in their lives, expanding their meaning and pushing past the walls of perception.

My three latest paintings; A New Direction, Weaving A New Generation, and The Ancestors Are Singing are part of 2012's 'Life Givers' series. Each painting depicts the stories of the divine feminine, whether in spirit or human form, helping the people in a time of need. My goal is to have 12-24 paintings in this series by the Fall of 2012 and to present them together in my first solo show. Of course, I have a long ways to go! There are a lot more paintings to paint and I have yet to contact galleries and organizations. Whew! But it all starts with a vision right? I'm taking it one step at a time.
