….. Expressing ourselves through our photography is one of the most important things about being a photographer. There is always a new way to photograph it & although there are millions of us trying to do the same thing, we just have to open our eyes to explore all the new avenues in which to 'shoot' it!
….. My past shots of stuff way back in the 70's & 80's on film were just the start of something much larger. Those were the days of doing black & white to practice my picture taking ability & processing the film in my darkroom. Since those days, the digital world has made it easier to practice various techniques and hopefully perfect a few of those techniques along the way!
….. My favorite photographers are Bryan Peterson, Joe McNally, Kathleen Clemons, Chris Hurtt & Adam Barker just to mention a few. I read articles about their various techniques hoping I can capture a few of the many things they teach in the world that is all around us! I am also taking a photography course through the New York Institute of Photography, brushing up on various things I knew & doing things I never had the chance to learn about years ago.
….. When I have a day off, I usually start out in the early morning, then progress through the evening, shooting various landscapes, wildlife, etc. I try to use whatever available light that I have to make the most out of any situation but I never shy away from the mid-day, contrasty sun as it makes taking pictures of things harder but helps me better my compositional set ups!
….. Having fun is the first thing I try to do when shooting anything! ... Without the fun, what is the point!
….. Thanks for viewing my photography & reading my bio! .....
