A St. Louis Missouri native with a B.A. in painting from Webster University, Genevieve paints in acrylics and mixed media. She is an award winning artist who exhibits her artwork locally and internationally. Esson has completed 5 public art projects. The latest: a painted dog statue for the Hanley & Harry Project for the Animal Protective Association. You may view her dog 'Hunt For The Unicorn On A Full Moon' here: The Hanley & Harry Project Twenty artists were selected to paint 10 dogs and 10 cats sculpted by St. Louis artist Harry Weber. The project will launch in June 2013 to help raise money for the APA. Each dog and cat will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Another recent public art project was

Genevieve was one of 54 artists selected to paint a larger-than-life butterfly statue for Wings In The City, sponsored by Barnes Jewish Childrens Hospital and Palliative Care. Her butterfly, 'Le Milieu Mode' was bought by Dierbergs Family Markets. It is now on permanent display at their corporate headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri. 'Expressing feelings and emotions of my inspirations and dreams, my paintings come from my
insights. Buoyant and lyrical, my visions are carried to realization in a flow of dancing electricity
which embraces and bolsters the spirit of the denizens depicted. Lines of joyous color and move-
ment brightens our world, soothes the soul, and bonds us with nature. Awily legerdemain of imple-
mentation transfers a blithe and musing anima directly from the notions of the artist to the heart of
the beholder. Linking people to the natural world, with its magic and beauty, is the aesthetic of my
vision. Being drawn into innocence, a well being unfolds, with the unity of all life opening up to the
viewer. Art is therapy, celebration, and a journey.'
