Geoff McGilvray is an award winning landscape & nature photographer based out of Incline Village, NV at beautiful Lake Tahoe. He has lived in the Lake Tahoe basin since 1975 and has developed a keen eye for great composition and timing for capturing the different moods and lighting of the Lake Tahoe region and the surrounding high Sierras. Geoff's passion and deep love for the natural environment of the Earth has taken him to other parts of the world to experience and photograph its beauty, including the American Southwest and West Coast, Hawaii, Fiji, Guatamala, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, France, Spain, and Portugal.
When asked about what he wants to accomplish with his photography, Geoff says, 'If my photography can touch someone's heart or create a deep soulful appreciation and respect for the natural beauty that surrounds us everyday, and instill a feeling and understanding of the innate intelligent design of our world, then my work has been successful in conveying the feelings I experience when I am out capturing the magnificence of the Earth through my lens. If my photography can feel alive to the observer, then I have succeeded in my goal as a nature and landscape photographer.'
