Artists Statement

The paintings started at the same time as my first photographs did a year ago. I couldn’t stop and the work just poured out of me. Painting to me is a solitary art form. It’s my moment to “let go” and let my brain do its thing. Sometimes I plan and sometimes I just start a painting, but I feel that I am never done until my brain feels aligned. Around you are some of my inner thoughts, my inner laughs and my inner desires. Most of my paintings are of people and faces. They are images of my friends, family and that random stranger on the bus. They reflect my life and my loves. They are me.
