GDM currently has his first solo NYC Gallery Show at Lanyon 36 www.lanyon36.com and is a permanent artist in their stable of artist’s.

Geoffrey Doig-Marx (GDM) left home at age 15, where he lived in runaway shelters and group homes. In the mid 1980s he moved to New York City where he started his career in dance and musical theatre.

In December of 2011 he returned to living in Harlem and married the love of his life. It was at this time that he started painting, photographing, writing and hasn’t looked back.
In May 2012 he was invited to show his paintings at Arts on Division Street and his photography show “Bound Voyeuristic Dreams” opened in NYC ran for 8 weeks. The show was featured in Next Magazine.

His following shows “A Splash of Color/The Paintings of GDM” opened April 18, 2013 and ran for four months. “Bad Boys” opened the year later and had a six-month run and in 2014 his show “Neon Dreams” opened and was such a hit that “Neon Dreams II” is currently running.

Now with over 400 paintings and thousands of photographs, Geoffrey is everywhere. His paintings currently hang at Stylist’s Davide-Torchio’s Salon at The Davide-Torchio Salon 69th St and 954 Lexington Avenue 212-737-3621
