Delroy George, Griffiths was born in Jamaica, West Indies. I developed an early interest in photography when my father gave me a Kodak box camera for Christmas. I started taking pictures of friends, sometimes including myself in group shots. It wasn't until I was sent back to active duty in the U.S. Army that my interest took on a more dedicated stance. I met a fellow soldier who introduce me to the process of developing and printing black and white pictures. I purchased my first official camera at the PX, a Vivitar 35mm. My interest turned to shooting nature, architecture and fellow soldiers.
After leaving the Army I studied with the New York Institute of Photography. and went on to start my own portrait & wedding business, I also worked for three major portrait studios. I have traveled and lived in several states across the country in addition to Canada, Mexico.and the United Kingdom.Today my interest is more towards ' Fine Art Photography ' I shoot things that are visually appealing to me, and at the same time hope they please the mind of the viewer. ***Some of my Images are in a New York library, doctors office's, businesses and private homes.
