After a career as a Navy Nurse, I began painting seriously about 12 years ago. I am now a co-owner of a fine art gallery in Georgia and am happy to say that we have just celebrated our 5th year in business. I was raised in an air force family and lived in many different countries. Many of my paintings are taken from family photos from these various places. Last year I moved to the country and my current work is from the surrounding countryside with its charming old houses and barns. My preferred medium is oil but I also paint in acrylics and love to use texture in many of my pieces.
