After a career as a Navy Nurse, I began painting seriously about 12 years ago. I am now a co-owner of a fine art gallery in Georgia. I was raised in an air force family and lived in many different places including the UK and many of my paintings are taken from family photos from these various places. Last year I moved to the country and my current work is from the surrounding countryside with its charming old houses and barns. I’ve also begun experimenting with non-representational and abstract art. My preferred medium is oil but I also paint in acrylics and love to use texture in many of my pieces.
