I'm a retired special education teacher currently living in Chicago on the Northwest Side. I have enjoyed photography since I was a teenager, and got my first SLR camera at age 20. Now, I spend most of my time taking photos of the plant and animal life that surrounds me. Trips always offer new and additional opportunities, including landscape and cityscape photography. Posting much of my work on Facebook, I've received encouraging comments from family and friends, so I felt this was the next logical step. I've always felt that creative photography is a gift...and have laughed at acquaintences who feel that having a quality camera is THE REASON a person can be photographically creative. Visualizing our surroundings...seeing 'something' and thinking, 'Now THAT could result in an interesting image,' is the foundation. Being able to take a good photograph and edit it into a classic is an amazing feeling! A good camera helps- but it is only a factor, in my experience.
Naturally, I hope you will take a close look at my work...and, of course, I hope you find them interesting and pleasant to your eyes. Enjoy!!
