In the year 2006 I decided to put only positive energy into establishing my Fine Art career, although I have been painting since I was a child. There was never a question that I was an Artist but I chose to work as a designer in the fashion and home decor industries to earn a living. My thought was that when I was older I would devote more time to my Artwork. I turned 50 years of age and suddenly realized that I was older and this was the time to start dedicated myself to this lifelong calling. I am innately a surface designer - loving to create patterns and work with color and that shows up in my paintings. I paint figurative work as well as landscapes, florals, mixed media works and more. I like to play with many mediums but mainly I use watercolors. Most of my art education came from my wonderful high school art teacher, Mr. Globerman. I attended one year at the School of Visual Arts. As a child I was surrounded by Art books and magazines that filled my visual reservoir and much of what influenced me is steeped in the 1960's culture of creative expression.
Now I sell work internationally and show at local galleries and shows here in the Hudson Valley and surrounding New York area. Check out my links to view all my work and see my Etsy Shop:
