Hailey is a watermedia artist who loves learning new techniques and experimentation. She received her PhD at Texas A&M University, College Station, in 2004. She worked as a research scientist and lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University for a short term. She returned to her first love, art, a few years ago and became a full time artist.
Hailey loves the watercolor medium for layering, colors, and transparency which appeals to her sense of spontaneity. Her watercolors are vibrant, bright and rich with incredible depth and wonderful tonal rages. She is not content with a style but wants to evolve continually. She loves to enrich her creativity and artistic vision through continued experiment. Currently she is a member of Brazos Valley Art League, Arts Council of Brazos Valley, Watercolor Art Society-Houston and Texas Watercolor Society.
