Heidi Berkovitz is an avid lover of nature, wildlife and people. She has always enjoyed working with various mediums, as you will see when viewing her work. As an herbalist, Heidi has a particular fondness for photographing plants, flowers and trees. Heidi doesn't plan out her art. She simply goes out into the world, and spontanelously clicks away with her camera. She loves to capture those images that keep you staring...lingering in the moment. Sometimes she goes for one image, and another one appears (See Weird Objects over The Sedona Sky). Heidi's SOLARIZED photos reflect her philosophy of the “plant spirit medicine” that makes herbalism so alluring, creating the feel for the energy eminating from this sacred natural world we are connected to. Ever since the first time Heidi saw Salvador Dali’s art as a young child, she was inspired by the concept of surrealism. Her fascination with dreams and the subconscious mind are reflected in the imagery within her artwork.
