Helen Champaloux alias Saraswati was born in France, but she was educated until her tens by her grand-ma in the wildness of the Don's plains in Russia, far from the Western civilization, school, and consumer habits. She has gone to the school for the first time when she was nine and at her tens she arrived in Geneva. She was craving during many years for the wildness of the wide plains and the beauty of sunsets in summer, the snow's tempests and the crystalline purity of air in winter during sunny days when all was perfectly white and silent.
This experience has make a huge influence on her adult life.
She discovered art after her arrival in Switzerland and she began to paint with oil colors since her teens.
In the first period of her artist life she used the assumed name Chanka and exhibited her works in Brussels(Belgium), in Kinshasa (Congo) and in Geneva.
She lived 10 years in Tahiti and performed during this time a decorative plexiglas panel in the Social Security of Papeete and many exhibitions of her works.
In 1990 she painted 3 large murals in Cognac Jay Foundation in France near of Geneva.
In 1991 the artist was given the name of Saraswati in the South of India from a very close disciple of Sri Aurobindo, Champaklal, and at the same time she changed her technique and way of painting because she was influenced by her inner research and quantum physicists reading David Bohm and Fridjof Capra fitting to her own experience. She has done some exhibitions in Auroville a spiritual eco-city based in the South of India where she was living for few years.
She also performed during this time 30 oil paintings, wood pannels and a 6 meters diameter stained glass project for a copy of a German Middle-Age's Castle, Amrutha Castle in Hiderabad.
Between 1995 and 2000 she has done few exhibitions in Lyon, Paris, ST Etienne and she was also on of Grenoble and Lyon's Art Markets (' Marché de la Creation' de Lyon).
She was member of the regional Lyon's Art Association M.A.P.R.A.
Saraswati was selected during the poster's competition: 'Benedictine 2000', organized by the famous French spirit brand 'Benedictine'. Her work was exposed for one year on the 'Benedictine's website in year 2000.
She was selected with 20 other artists to represent the 'Rhone-Alpes' regional art on the virtual gallery La Galerie Française.
She is also represented permanently on Art in Context, the New York Council Art Library.
In January 2000, Saraswati was interviewed by the New York's Art magazine 'StudioNotes'
and in 2002 she won a medal during an exhibition in France.
Saraswati was focusing on the research on the several levels of the energetic patterns that are surrounding living beings and earth and she developed the emphatic connection with the world. She was working in connection with the Angelic Entities and she was painting them in Auroville when they allowed her to reproduce their energetic pattern. She has done an Angel's theme exhibition in September 2000 at Pitanga, art gallery in Auroville.
Saraswati was living for a while in Ireland where she was working in a Dublin's psychiatric hospital doing Art Therapy, spiritual healing, massage, beauty therapy and yoga.
She is also a web designer and she mixes her artistic skills with the I.T technology and digital art.. Helen has 30 years of experience in art, logo design, photography, illustration. She has an experience of 8 years in image manipulation with Photoshop.
She has worked as freelance for corporations and sport clubs in Geneva, Switzerland.
Helen has studied Art at Ecole des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles (Belguim) and then IT in Geneva. She also worked as a photographer in Africa for a newspaper.
She is graduated in Conservation.
And because she loves the beautiful landscapes of the earth and especially forest and trees she takes her inspiration from the deep feeling of nature's love in her heart, but also from world events, philosophy and spirituality.
She hope to develop in her next projects her vision of Western society and a deeper insight of her dreams. Few years ago she has done some sketches about Gods of Dream and she would like to continue the series. She decided that the bright colours inspired by her love of India belong now to her past and that the world events will change her art dramatically.
August 2008 she was exhibited at 'La Galleria, Pall Mall' in Central London.
In the 15th of January 2009 'Dance of Elements' (No 81) one of her works will be sold on auction at Hotel de Ventes de Neuilly near Paris, in France.
