Dear Fellow Artists, Friends and World....I had always wanted to work in the book publishing industry. In 1989, my wish became reality by following my heart to work for a company that published scientific magazines, journals, and books, American Institute of Physics, AIP, on Long Island, New York. I learned the business from the ground up.
Years later with digital art becoming the main-stay, and laptop computers being the workstations, I took a children's book publishing class to become a self-publisher. In 2010, I started 'Holdens Whimsicals' for greeting cards, initially, and then I expanded into book publishing. In 2013, I self-published 'Elephoot.' The second book,'Elephoot Returns' in 2014 and the third children's book, 'Penelope The Tea Mouse' followed in February of 2017. Forging ahead into a new publishing realm has been quite the journey. Currently, besides me, small bookstores and Amazon, all carry my book series.
Recently, I thought to put my images on products, textiles, apparel and other things. It has been an adventure and I am learning every day about the market place.
The black and white line drawings ... can be colored by children...
Besides creating art for children and books, I am writing my first novel...
