Helena Tiainen - Fine Artist
I am a painter who also draws. I work with acrylics, watercolor, mixed media, ink and pencil. I usually paint on stretched canvas and draw on paper. My subject matter ranges from somewhat figurative to abstract with a strong emphasis on color, form and rhythm or flow. Some of my work is sculptural or 3-D painting.
I am into exploring wholeness and oneness and the very real feeling illusion of seeming separateness. My art is multidimensional. It often combines that which is easily recognizable with the more mysterious, abstract and ethereal aspects of nature. Patterns and symbols play an important role in my art. I hope to create possibility and offer positive empowerment to the viewers of my work.
