Art back ground:
Have been drawing since the age of 10. Entered art contests at elementary and college level.
Art Education: California State University, Long Beach California, Artists lofts: Hollywood California and self taught.
Mediums: Charcoal, pastels, lithographs, Rapidograph, silk screening and air brush. Primary focus of concern: Charcoal and pastels.
My art interests has always been in the area of realism and life drawing. Capturing the still images of nature or the human body with depth and incite.
At the age of 13 yrs old, i designed a cover for a rock band, called 'Juggernaut', which entailed having to compose a color over lay. This threw me into the area of advertizement and allowed me to enter a small magazine company. In high school, i was able to add a black and white panda to my year book, made of black indian ink and designed with rapidograph pens. This drawing can be seen in the Anthonian high school year book, 1982, page 166.
During my high school years, i attended night school for art design at Lakewood high school, which assisted me in obtaining design skills to compete window stickers, silk screening and illustration designs. Upon graduating from my high school, i was given an art scholarship; to which, i applied and entered the art program at California State University, Long Beach.
I plan on adding a lot more pieces to my collection. Thank you stopping by. :)
